Free transcription provided by Moore Imports and Exports. Bringing Lorena Station news to the hearing impaired and visually impaired for the past five years.
News announcer Jaqueline Gantlet is seated, looking slightly to the right and not at the main camera. "Thank you, Jill. And now to the news."
She faces the camera. "This video may be disturbing, and features elements of the latest protests in Lorena."
The video is black and white, and very grainy.
Yvette Moore is pointing toward a stage. "There has not been a published report for water quality, mining safety, or air quality in my lifetime! My lifetime. Not even the four years without corporate hacking, or the five years since an accident. My lifetime!"
Static cascades down the screen.
"IntSec may want to preserve the security of the corporation, but people inside and out need to know the truth. Where is Cedric Montalban? Where is Phanna Davis?" Yvette takes a breath, and looks winded. "Where, Mr. Montechristeu, is your son?"
"IntSec has declared these protests to be a threat to public security," says the news announcer. "They will only be tolerated as long as peace is maintained. The first sign of violence will be treated without mercy."
A stock photo of an IntSec officer in a grey uniform appears.
A tape of a man's voice plays. "We will not turn on each other. We will not be whipped into a fervor by the paranoia of fear. We are strong, and the station will survive. The loyal will be protected, and the malcontents will be dealt with to ensure the public safety. If forced, federal troops will be called in."
